Jewelry Making

Hello All: I do hope that all is well with whomever is reading this post. It has been a trying year for a some as we come to the close of the year. But I do want to share with you that it will get better. Please trust me on this one because GOD is in control of it all. I have been there when I thought it was rough and GOD brought me out and he will bring you out as well. I don't know who needed a word of encouragement but I know that I needed to share with someone.

This holiday I decided to bring out of my old trades which is jewelry making. One of my friends by the name of Lisa came over my house last Saturday and taught me a few new tricks to jewelry making. This past Tuesday my friends who are like sisters and I got together for Sister evening and exchanged Christmas trinkets. Well, I made eight different pieces of jewelry as my trinkets and they really loved them.

The red, black and silver heart with the organza ribbon was most definitely an experiment. I wanted to make a necklace with ribbon and I did it. I was worried that my friend may not like it but she did. The other necklace was for another girlfriend and I had knew that she would like it. This necklace is just her style.

Hello All:

I received a blog award from June over at mycreative-corner I was really excited to see that someone gave me an award for my blog. I don't do all that fancy way out stamping because I like just plain Jane easy going projects. I do come out of my box from time to time though.

The comment that June left on her blog about my blog is that it is fresh and fun.

Thanks again June for giving me the award.

Coffe Mug

Hello All I do hope that everyone had a good holiday. Mines was quiet but it was nice to be off from work.

In my office there is about 45 employees and I like to give everyone in our department a little something. So I found these mugs in my garage and decided to give them to six of the girls in the office. I used designer paper that is retired but I am glad to be using it instead of hoarding it.

Here is my second card that I designed using You & Yours stamp set.

I do believe that I am using this stamp set for my holiday card.

I Finally Went Green

Over the weekend I finally figured out how I was going to go green. I have so many client invoices with selling Stampin Up and Gold Canyon Candles the invoices tend to accumulate. So I have been trying to figure out how can I go green and keep track of my invoices. I decided to start scanning my invoices. I made two main folders one for SU and the other for GC. I then made folders for each of my clients. So I will scan the invoices when I first take the order and keep the invoice until the order comes in. Once the order has come in and everything is in place then I will shred it.

Tai has gone green.

Where I have I been

Hello All:

I haven't posted on my blog in almost a month. Life sometimes can really throw you some curve balls and I was thrown two at one time. I had a very dear friend of mines sister die and another dear friend of mines husband shot and robbed all in the same day. I was helping me friend get things together for the funeral. As for our other friends husband he is doing okay the doctor's didn't remove the bullets from his body because they said it could be to dangerous.

At the same time work has been really crazy. I work in the financial industry and it has been rough. I do realize that not only the industry I work in is in danger of laying off but everyone can be laid off. So let try to be understanding and kind to each other times are hard for everyone. For those of you were times aren't hard please remember to pray for those that are less fortunate because remember it could be you and your family.

Hugs
Tai

PS Once my camera batteries charge I will be posting a few cards that I managed to make on last night.

Hello All:

My Computer has been down all week and it has just killed me. I have DSL with SBC and right now they aren't my friends. You will never believed that I talked to 7 different technions and received 7 different answers on why my DSL wasn't connecting to the server. Last night after being on the phone with last technigion for over a hour he finally got my computer working and I hope it stays working. So needless to say I haven't stamped or posted anything to my blog but I will by Saturday. Everyone take care and have a great weekend.

One Stamp Set Thank You Card

Tonight I designed my cards with using only one stamp set and one ink pad. Many times people are leery about stamping because of the cost, but as I explain to them stamping is as expensive as the artist makes it. So, I have designed two cards tonight one that is simple and the other one I kicked it up a notch.
Card A Details: Cardstock: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, and Vanilla.
Stamp Set: Heartfelt Thanks Ink: Certainly Celery.

This is my kick it up a notch card
Card B Details:Cardstock: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, and Vanilla.
Stamp Set: Heartfelft Thanks Ink: Certainly Celery
Accessories: Mat Pack, Certainly Celery Wide Grosgrain Ribbon, and Rhinestones
Technique: Paper Piercing.

Once again I used very minimal supplies to make these two wonderful cards.
